Trinity Christian Reformed Church is the proud recipient of the 2005, Hope Community Resources, Building Community Award.
“Community can be defined as a common ownership that embodies the equal participation of its citizens. Trinity Christian Reformed Church truly exemplifies this definition through their outpouring of unconditional love and acceptance to everyone seeking a home of worship.
Many of us take it for granted-that we will be welcomed into any church we choose to attend: that we will be able to share the fellowship that comes with worship. However, that has not always been a common experience for those who experience disabilities!
Trinity Christian Reformed Church has made that connection with those choosing Hope’s supports since the early 1980’s. The word has spread throughout the community-all citizens are welcome to join and express their spiritual beliefs in a fellowship of love, family, and diversity. Members actively assist individuals with disabilities to attend church services.
We truly honor this congregation for being a living example of their faith and their pioneering efforts to build a community where all are welcomed, valued, and included, regardless of disability.”
-Petter Jahnsen, Board of Directors Hope community Resources
Trinity CRC is currently equipped with a multi level wheelchair lift/elevator, and hopes to one day have a more adaptive technology put into use during Worship Services for those who are hard of hearing. Trinity also has some larger print editions of the Bible available for those who are in need of them. We at Trinity welcome disabled and able bodied people equally, and hope that you will come and discover the family that is Trinity CRC.
