Sermon: The Heavenward Prize
By: Pastor Ben Hulst
Philippians 3: The pursuit of glory is wrapped up in the pattern that Jesus brought - the cross and resurrection. To live in this pattern serves as a guiding light to the world. As Paul reflects the glory of Christ, he shines like a star in the heavens, holding forth the word of life. As other Christians live in that way, so do they. Living this way points all to the higher glory of Christ, where life is found.

Apr 21, 2024Sermon: Shining Like Stars – Part 2By: Pastor Ben HulstPhilippians 2.1-11: To know what it means to shine like stars, we first need to understand the glory of the light of Christ. For we follow from him. In ch. 2, Paul wants to highlight Christ's glory in his obedience to the Father, a willingness to give of himself in full obedience and not seek for himself glory. This is his glory, the cross, giving of himself, thinking of others before himself. This is our source of life.
