Philippians 2.12-19: By understanding Paul’s playing off of Deuteronomy, we see the great confidence Paul has because of the coming of Christ. Moses had little confidence in the people, but Paul speaks of great confidence because of Christ and the coming of the Spirit. In Christ, we live in a completely different age and strength. It calls us to live confidently as we stay connected to the Word.
